At the 62nd session of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB62) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bonn, Prasiddhi Singh brought a powerful youth voice to the heart of global climate negotiations. As the youngest delegate in attendance, Prasiddhi engaged in high-level dialogues, bridging the gap between local action and international policy and championing the integral role of children and youth in shaping a sustainable future.
A key focus of the conference was paving the way for COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Prasiddhi actively participated in the “Road to COP30 Brazil” session, a critical conversation centered on building inclusive and action-oriented momentum for what is anticipated to be a landmark climate summit. Her presence in the room, surrounded by seasoned negotiators and climate advocates, was a powerful reminder that the generation with the most at stake must be included in the decisions that will define their future.

Prasiddhi’s journey from planting over 150,000 trees in Tamil Nadu to contributing to policy dialogues in Bonn exemplifies The Green Pillar’s core philosophy. On the first day of the conference, she took part in the “Baku to Belem Adaptation Agenda Roadmap Meeting,” lending her voice to discussions on strengthening global adaptation strategies. This transition from micro-forests to macro-level visions for climate justice highlights our commitment to ensuring grassroots solutions inform and inspire global frameworks.
The conference provided a vital platform for meaningful engagement with key figures in the climate space. Prasiddhi held impactful conversations with Ana Toni, the President of COP30, and once again met with Nigar Arpadarai, the COP29 High-Level Champion. She also connected for the first time with Marcele Oliveira, the newly appointed COP30 Presidency Youth Climate Champion, fostering collaborations that are essential for driving intergenerational climate action.

Representing both The Green Pillar and Prasiddhi Forest Foundation, Prasiddhi’s participation was a testament to the power of youth-led initiatives. By listening intently, learning from experts, and speaking up on behalf of her generation, she reinforced the message that children and youth are not silent observers but active and essential partners in the fight for climate justice. Her involvement underscored the urgent need for transparency, inclusion, and intergenerational courage on the path to a sustainable planet.
