Prasiddhi Singh Invited to Inspire Young Minds on Sustainability at Delhi Public School, Varanasi

Equipping Students to Create a Greener Future

Empowering a Generation of Environmental Changemakers

Our founder, Prasiddhi Singh, was invited as a speaker at Delhi Public School, Varanasi, where she led an interactive leadership workshop focused on climate action and sustainability. Through sharing her journey, taking climate pledges, and engaging students in meaningful conversations, she encouraged them to see themselves as young changemakers creating real environmental impact.

The DPS Varanasi Eco Club in Action: Students Leading the Change

As part of the visit, The Green Pillar engaged with the school’s Eco Club, where students presented their work on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), plantation drives, and other environmental initiatives. The exchange celebrated student leadership while encouraging deeper conversations around sustainability and climate responsibility.

Mission 10 Million Trees: A TGP Action Project

As part of the TGP Action Project, DPS Varanasi took an institutional pledge to restore, plant, and maintain 500 native trees during the 2026–27 academic year under the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation’s Mission 10 Million Trees. Following the awareness session, students took part in hands-on plantation activity, turning climate learning into on-ground action and supporting SDGs 13, 15, and 17.

Celebrating Youth Leadership with the TGP Youth Global Tribe Awards

To celebrate student commitment towards sustainability, The Green Pillar presented the TGP Youth Global Tribe Awards, recognising participants for their contribution to Mission 10 Million Trees and their commitment to environmental action. The awards celebrate young people taking meaningful steps towards ecosystem restoration and climate leadership.

From Awareness to Action

Through the TGP Action Project, The Green Pillar works with schools to move from climate education to measurable action, starting with awareness, followed by institutional commitments and on-ground environmental initiatives. DPS Varanasi is now part of this growing network of schools taking action towards Mission 10 Million Trees.
