Young Indians (Yi) National Climate Change Summit 2026 – Auroville
Leadership for a Climate-Ready Future
Bringing Youth Voices to the National Stage
Our founder, Prasiddhi Singh, was invited as a speaker at the Young Indians (Yi) National Climate Change Summit 2026 in Auroville. The summit brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, sustainability experts, and young leaders from over 40 cities across India to discuss the future of climate leadership and sustainable development.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
During her session, Prasiddhi shared how climate action begins with leadership, purpose, and community participation. Drawing from her work through The Green Pillar, Prasiddhi Forest Foundation, and Mission 10 Million Trees, she encouraged young people to see themselves as active contributors to environmental change rather than future participants.
Meaningful Conversations Across Generations
A highlight of the summit was Prasiddhi’s interaction with Dr. Jayanti Ravi, IAS, Secretary of the Auroville Foundation. Dr Ravi appreciated Prasiddhi’s environmental work and her book, Prasiddhi’s Great Barrier Reef Adventure, and facilitated a special visit to Auroville, offering deeper insights into its model of sustainability, innovation, and human unity.
Climate Leadership Has No Age Limit
The summit reinforced the importance of intergenerational leadership in addressing climate challenges. Prasiddhi’s session was recognised by fellow speakers and industry leaders as a powerful reminder that the future of climate action depends on empowering young leaders alongside experienced decision-makers.
At The Green Pillar, we believe meaningful climate solutions are built through collaboration across generations, sectors, and communities. Events like the Yi National Climate Change Summit strengthen our commitment to empowering young leaders and accelerating climate action through education, partnerships, and community-led initiatives.
