Youth Leading the Climate Conversation

A Platform for Young Voices

At the Haritha Keralam Mission’s Environment Conference, young voices took centre stage in shaping climate conversations. Held in Thiruvananthapuram, the summit brought together leaders, policymakers, and young changemakers to address pressing environmental challenges in a state where climate change is already a visible reality.

A session on Youth for Tomorrow’s Environment

Our founder, Prasiddhi Singh, chaired the “Youth for Tomorrow’s Environment” session at the conference. As a National Speaker at the Youth Parliament, she shared a powerful message, not about projects, but about possibility. She emphasised that children and young people are not just participants, but key stakeholders in climate action, calling for a shift from token inclusion to true intergenerational leadership.

Recognition by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala

During the summit, our founder, Prasiddhi Singh, was awarded by Hon. Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and Hon. MP A. A. Rahim, recognising her work in climate education and youth-led environmental action. The platform reflected a growing acknowledgement of the role young leaders play in shaping a sustainable future.

A Collective Call for Change

Through discussions with fellow young changemakers and leaders, the summit reinforced a simple idea — environmental responsibility must begin early, locally, and visibly. When young voices are heard and empowered, climate action moves faster and becomes more meaningful.

Looking Ahead

The Haritha Keralam Mission continues to create spaces where youth are not just included, but truly involved in decision-making. For The Green Pillar, this moment strengthens our commitment to building a future where young people lead with awareness, action, and purpose.
