Welcome to The Green Pillar! This website (https://www.thegreenpillar.com), along with its services, platforms, and content, is operated by The Green Pillar Foundation (“TGP”, “we”, “us” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “User”) and The Green Pillar, governing your use of our website, services, resources, events, workshops, and community initiatives (collectively, “Services”).

Please read these Terms carefully. By using our website or Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and consented to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Site and Services.

1. About The Green Pillar

The Green Pillar is a youth-led climate education platform working to inspire children, youth, educators, and community changemakers to take mindful climate action. We offer educational courses, toolkits, volunteering programs, workshops and digital resources tailored to building climate consciousness through experiential learning.

TGP is driven by ecological empathy, rooted in justice, and powered by youth. Our Services aim to make climate education accessible, participatory, and action-oriented.

2. Eligibility

To access and use our Services, you must:

  • Our services are accessible to learners starting from the age of 3-4. However, any individual under the age of 18 must have express consent and active supervision from a parent or legal guardian. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure appropriate guidance and oversight throughout the use of our platform and services.
  • Possess the legal authority to enter into binding agreements.
  • Agree to comply with all local, national, and international laws applicable to your use of the Site and Services.

If you are using TGP on behalf of an organization (e.g., a school, NGO, or business), you confirm that you are authorized to represent and bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Services Overview

TGP offers the following Services:

  • Climate Education.
  • TGP Youth Global Tribe Networking.
  • Climate action and ecological literacy workshops.
  • Resource handbooks and downloadable toolkits.
  • Community-building programs and ambassador networks.
  • Campaigns, volunteering, internships, and climate action events.
  • Consultancy and partnership opportunities for schools, organizations, and educators.

Our Services may evolve. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any Service (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice.

4. Account Registration and Access

While many resources on our website are freely accessible, some offerings require you to register or submit information (e.g., for event participation, workshop enrolment, or volunteer sign-ups).

When creating an account or completing any form:

  • You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
  • You accept full responsibility for all activities under your account, whether authorized or not.

The Green Pillar is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and collaborative community. You agree not to use the Site or Services to:

We reserve the right to remove content, block access, or report unlawful behavior to appropriate authorities.

6. Educational Content & Toolkits

All downloadable or viewable content including but not limited to:

  • Climate handbooks
  • Event guides
  • Posters and infographics
  • Curriculum-aligned materials
  • Video lectures
  • Project templates

…are for personal, educational, and non-commercial use only, unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

  • Modify, sell, sublicense, distribute, or exploit any TGP content for commercial purposes.
  • Reproduce content on other platforms without attribution or permission.
  • Translate, alter, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property on the Site including logos, text, images, graphics, illustrations, audio, video, downloads, and all content is the property of The Green Pillar or our partners and licensors, and is protected under copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Use of TGP content does not grant you any ownership rights. You may not use our trademarks, brand identity, or copyrighted content without our explicit written consent.

8. Volunteer and Intern Programs

Participants engaging in our volunteering, ambassador, or internship programs agree to:

  • Follow guidelines and values set by TGP.
  • Represent TGP respectfully and accurately in public forums or institutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of internal documents or communications.

    We reserve the right to discontinue any participant’s involvement in our programs if they breach conduct expectations or misuse our platform.

9. Payment and Donations

Certain services, such as paid workshops, merchandise, books, or educational services, may involve fees. All payments:

  • Are processed via secure third-party payment providers.
  • Are subject to applicable taxes and currency conversions.
  • Are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated in a Refund Policy (We will add a hyperlink which will lead to the refund policy page)  for specific services.

    The Green Pillar does not accept any donations. However, individuals who wish to contribute may do so to our impact partner, the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation. Donations made to the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation are voluntary and may be eligible for tax exemption under applicable Indian laws. Donation receipts will be provided by the Foundation upon request.

 

10. Privacy and Data Protection

You are responsible for your own decisions and use of the materials.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Green Pillar shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the Site or Services, including but not limited to:
