The Green Brigades are student-led climate action groups formed under the Green Tamil Nadu Mission, guided by our founder and Child Ambassador Prasiddhi Singh. With 19+ active brigades and over 3300 students empowered through her Climate Action Curriculum, these young leaders are taking real steps toward a greener future.
From planting 1500+ native saplings and 63 banyan trees to supporting SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), the Green Brigades are growing forest cover, protecting biodiversity, and inspiring collective change.Â
At The Green Pillar, social internships are more than just programs; they’re purpose-driven journeys. In collaboration with our impact partner Prasiddhi Forest Foundation, our internships immerse school and college students in real-world climate action. Through hands-on research, community-led initiatives, nature-based awareness campaigns, tree plantation drives, and partnerships with local organisations, our interns actively transform into changemakers within their communities. Through these experiences, students not only cultivate green skills for green jobs but also deepen their understanding of sustainability, empathy, and leadership skills that no classroom alone can teach.
